Joining AVA  

The Asbestos Victims Association (SA) Inc was formed due to the alarming increase in asbestos-related diseases in Australia, in particular, South Australia.

Why join AVA

The Association has access to legal representatives who will advise and act for any Member of AVA who wishes to lodge a Claim for any asbestos-related disease. Only lawyers who will represent Members on a NO-WIN-NO FEE basis are associated with AVA You do not pay upfront for any Medical or Investigative reports with the AVA solicitors.

We hope, in the near future, to have Doctors around the city, suburbs, and in the country areas for members to consult, about any asbestos-related problems.

The joining fee for AVA is just $10.00 per annum, with all monies raised by the association going into a fund for the administration of AVA eg

• Running costs of the office
• Mailouts
• Promotions
• Seminars

Why your $10.00 is important

We need your modest $10 membership fee to run the association.  Sometime organizations offer services for free, but these organizations still have costs.  That means that somebody else is covering their expenses.

AVA answers only to its members. We are doing our work for the victims and their families, that's something we are very proud of. So your $10 helps provide services to victims and families suffering asbestos disease, and we don’t want to reflect anyone’s agenda except our members.

Donations are also an important source of funds for us to operate and they are gratefully accepted.

You may also use this form to make a donation. Donations of $2.00 or more are tax deductable.

We try to raise awareness, in the community and within the medical professions- of the dangers of having worked with, or suffered exposure to, asbestos - any time, anywhere.

More member benefits

Members are kept informed, by regular Newsletters, of any new developments and relevant information, as it comes to hand.

We also arrange meetings where you can share thoughts and views with other Members. AVA has successfully campaigned for changes to State laws to improve Victims' rights.
