We were delighted to welcome Senator Rex Patrick to the AVA office in April. He wanted to know more about our activities and learn how he could assist.We had a full house of volunteers on the day.
Senator Patrick has been a good friend to AVA.In 2019 he recounted Rex Wegener's story in the Senate during National Asbestos Week. Catherine Wegener, our Fleurieu representative, was present in Parliament House when he did so.
At his recent visit, Senator Patrick presented Catherine with the Australian flag which was flying in the Senate on that day in 2019. Catherine was delighted to receive the flag and will display it at the Asbestos Memorial Day in Victor Harbor on 10 November this year.
